Ever since I watched the first karate kid movie when I was a small boy I’ve loved martial arts.
Coming from a broken family we struggled as I was growing up and unfortunately my mother couldn’t afford for me to attend any classes. That didn’t stop me from still loving and having a passion for martial arts.
As I got older and started working and starting a family I had always wanted to learn martial arts, but never had the confidence to do it. I then met Master Lee through work and I was fascinated with everything he told me about Shentie.
Shortly after that, one of my sons was having a hard time at school and he was finding it very difficult, so I spoke to Master Lee and both of my youngest sons started to learn. Shortly after that I also started to learn and I’ve picked it up very quickly.
Now I am actually not only learning martial arts, but I am also learning to become an instructor and teach others myself. Never would I have thought that I would actually have the confidence to do this, but here I am some forty years later proving that it really doesn’t matter how old you are if you are passionate and want something bad enough.
Master Lee and the whole team at Shentie are fantastic and I’m very proud to be a part of something so special.
